Systemic team cocahing.jpeg

The team’s primary purpose can be found in the response of a single question: What do they want to achieve together?

Traditional team coaching focuses on a given team’s internal ways of working and their relationships as a distinct unit. Systemic team coaching broadens the given team immediate vision and creates a reflection goals they need to serve. What is their goal as a team? Create a sense of contribution not only around the team’s immediate purpose but also across the whole organisation and beyond. Creating an awareness of serving a greater purpose creates commitment.

The role of a systemic coach is to support a team to build clear and strong inner connections between each member of that team and within the wilder system. Support the whole system to redefine its vision, mission and create a clear set of shared values. Create a learning environment where together all of the team members could define the best ways of working effectively together and ultimately deliver their purpose. Finding balance and flow in human systems.

The World is made in circles and we think in straight lines.
— Peter Senge

Ignoring system dynamics and rules result in inertia, difficulties linked to a lack of clarity when it comes to leadership, high staff turn over, conflicts and other challenging symptoms and behaviours.

A systemic approach enables the team to understand why certain behaviours manifest inside their respective group and to interpret them as a sign of things happening in the overall organisation system.

What is a team primary purpose? What do they want to achieve together?

Answers to these questions are ultimately what defines a team. But it can easily be wasted through conflictual events, pressures, stressing points which make team members losing the feeling of being resourceful

There are many ways of supporting professional developments, resolving leadership challenges and removing organisation complexities. System oriented coaching can support the flow of leadership, team and organisational health by putting the attention on what is the true reality, what matters for the present and future and on what are the changes that will make the difference, in order to create a desirable future.

The systemic approach will contribute to building high functioning teams and strong interpersonal relationships.
